It does help, but 1...5...10dmg get through still, that adds up. If you make the insanely huge pulls like they do in DOA you will take alot of dmg and you will need a bonder to reduce it even further. Which of course elminates spliting. Also in veil you will run slower with obs flesh up and even with candy the touchers will still catch you. Really obs flesh is great for tanking, but you do take more damange than with shadowform and you can't split really. You might be able to but it certainly would be much harder in doa. I also think you would have to fight more stuff in foundry.

Hopefully they will nerf SF. and make it... Difficult to 600/smite everywhere. and buff more skills for party use. so you are then forced to pug a dungeon or elite mission.
However, they need to buff skills for professions so they can get groups easier so its not just dominated by monks necro's tank's and ele's.

No, nerfing SF and 600/smite wouldnt be enough, Also nerfs for SY!, e/mo Healers, Obsidian Flesh, Terra, 100b, SoS

That would maybe make just a little difference.

PermaSF and 600/Smite are mostly self sufficient solo/dual builds, whereas anything you mention here is a perhaps hyperefficient setup that still needs a full party to work (and you forgot to mention Discord )

There's a subtle difference between a good build and an abuse.

This is stupid.
Those builds can't run entire areas or dungeons alone, they need a full party.

Forgot to add that we should just suggest that they eliminate secondary professions. That's where most of the abuse comes in (*rolls eyes).

ANet has done that cycle before. See Spirit Bond, Protective Bond, Edge of Extinction(RIP), Splinter Weapon, Shield of Absorption, and then finally loot scaling or rate of kill to slow them all. There's probably more; that's not the point.

It's possible that secret builds and locations with higher yields may exist, but any person aware of it should never post anything at all about them if they wish to take advantage of it. Power traders will still farm the farmers to make more.

I don't see the value in trying to create new builds without knowledge of a future skill update. Predicting future patterns of players has even less value. There is no data.

what would be the point of nerfing builds that need a full party to clear anything ? forcing people to share your biased point of view on how the game has to be played ?

Of course you'll take more damage than the "practical invincibility in most areas of the game", that's kind of what makes it balanced.

"loot scaling" thats complete BS no such thing exists. I have proven it and ANet has not acknowledged it. The only loot scaling there is would be scaled drops when you kill everything at once. There is no "farm this zone ___ times we make your drops suck"

"Farming this zone makes your drops suck" isn't loot scaling, that is the original anti-farm code which they replaced with loot scaling, loot scaling makes the ammount of non-rare drops go up with paty size so you (statistically) get the same number of non-rares with a party as you would alone, now, golds, greens, rare materials, holiday drops and tomes do not scale, you will get more alone then you will with a party of these items, if they really didn't want people to farm they could always make everything scale.

55ing griffons used to give you drops for a 6 man party but you were soloing the zone, so you got 6 peoples worth of drops.

Yup, that is indeed the ANet lie. Shame it doesn't work that way, yet gullible people still believe the lie, despite proof! Go figure.

I'd like to see your proof, because all the evidence I've seen points to it working.

EDIT: Just so you know, I won't accept evidence from raptor farming with leachers vs. without because it only effects items that the players are all in range to have drop.

Syncing. If you enter the zone at the same time as someone else, you get the exact same drops. You have to adjust for graphics and internet lag but eventually you will sync. 1 goes in alone, 1 goes in with a hero/friend, see what drops you get. Exact same drops, loot scaling disproved. Good area to do this is Jaya Bluffs with SoS spirit spammer on NM.

Actually, that proves loot scaling, theoretically if it didn't scale the hero would get some drops and you would get less, go in with 2 people and that second person will get some drops, but you'll still get the same.

Thats a good idea. eliminate secondary profs from the player character/heroes/henchies. That sure would make PvE harder, which is what we need most.

eww... no. Whenever Anet "buffs skill" they become overpowered. Overpowered skills (AP, MoP, the eotn PvE skills, etc.) are a big part of what have ruined PvE and made it way too easy. If Anet cant "balance" a skill, then they need to focus on nerfing the overpowerd skills before they focus on buffing any skills.

Is a Guild Wars player not entitled to the rewards of his gameplay?

No, says the man in Heroes' Ascent.
It belongs to the PvPers.

No, says the man in the player group.
It belongs to the PUGs.

No, says the man on the forums.
It belongs to skilled players.

I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... 600/Smite.

I get as many green drops playing with 3 heroes and 4 henchmen in normal mode as I do when I solo farm in Hard mode. I seldom bother with solo farming anymore. it's not worth the time spent. The redundancy is so boring too.
